Assistant Designer - Women's TSD (Onsite San Francisco, CA)
We are seeking an Assistant Designer Women's TSD to support the design and development of seasonal product lines for our global retail client. This role will research fashion trends, assist in creating seasonal concepts and sketches, develop tech packs, and support the product design process from concept through development. The ideal candidate has strong apparel design knowledge, excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative
environment.
This is a 40-hour per week, 2-month contract (possible extension), onsite role in San Francisco, CA.
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
Research global markets to identify seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics/yarns, techniques, product categories, and competitive inspiration.
Assist in developing concepts and sketches for seasonal product lines.
Create tech packs and communicate the vision behind fit and product design to support product execution, quality, and margin targets.
Complete sketch revisions, update design packages, and prepare CADs based on project priorities.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment while managing multiple seasons and development deadlines.
Strong sense of style, aesthetic, and color with the ability to translate trends through the customer and brand lens.
Thorough knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color, sewing techniques, trim, and garment construction methods.
Strong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
